Our brand new escape game experience "The Explorer's Diary" has been turning heads and receiving stellar reviews ever since it's opening back in May. Now that the word is getting out about how great it is, the official bloggers and reviewers of the industry have started booking in to see what all the fuss is about.
The latest bloggers to visit "The Explorer's Diary" was Gord and Liz from www.reviewtheroom.co.uk. Gord and Liz have visited us before for both "Questionable Ethics" when we first opened back in 2020, and for "Southern Discomfort" in 2021, both of which received unprecedented feedback and groundbreaking reviews, which means a lot coming from people that have played hundreds of games worldwide. With HOUNDS reputation exceeding itself, there was a lot to live up to with the release of "The Explorer's Diary".
The official reviews are now in... Here's a few of our favourite excerpts:
"AS CLOSE TO PERFECT AS A GAME COULD GET!"
"WORTH MAKING A SPECIAL TRIP FOR!"
"IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!"
Needless to say, it looks like "The Explorer's Diary" has truly landed itself in a league of its own. As a team, we're exceptionally proud of our latest production, and absolutely thrilled at the hugely positive feedback we've been receiving! Thank you all that have come to play so far.
The message is loud and clear: BOOK YOUR TICKETS NOW! The resident explorers (Live actor hosts) at HOUNDS can't wait to immerse you into the world of Sir Benjamin Diggit!
(Warning: Prime time tickets for "The Explorer's Diary" sell out in advance!)
WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON AT HOUNDS?
It's been a little while since we provided an update, so let's catch you up...
If it's been a while since your last visit, you will also notice our newly refurbished speakeasy style bar. Now equipped with greater seating capacity, a more intimate atmosphere, and a whole new cocktail menu, as well as delicious flavoured moonshine to try.
We also have some big plans for the coming months. Our winter corporate calendar is beginning to book up, so if you're planning a team building event, be sure to enquire post-haste! This is particularly important if you're planning a larger event of more than 12 people, as you will require a larger block of availability, which will become harder to reserve as we get closer to Christmas!
Now that we've got the "C" word out of the way, it's about time we address the "A" word. Yes, "A" is for "ACID". The team are being BOMBARDED with questions about our new experience in production. And the truth is, we don't have all the answers just yet. But here's what we can let you in on...
No, it won't be anything like our current escape games. We're well known for creating tension, atmosphere and theatre in a family friendly way, while still keeping an edge for those groups that wan't a little extra crude humour and excitement. But this experience is going to be for a whole new demographic.
Yes, it will be scary. Our in-house psychological horror experts are working hard to design an experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat (literally... feel free to read into that)
Yes, there will be an actor. As you've come to expect from HOUNDS, your experience will be hosted by a live actor, but this time with a twist.
Yes, we're upping our special effects. We know we've blown away many people with our production values, but quite frankly, we think we can do even better. Get ready...
No, it won't be opening next week, next month, or even this year. This project is BIG! And getting it ready for opening is going to take a while. But we can guarantee a 2023 opening. It'll be worth the wait, we promise.
In the meantime, get your tickets for "The Explorer's Diary", and if you haven't played "Questionable Ethics" or "Southern Discomfort" then WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! (Remember, we do offer a special offer when booking multiple experiences back to back!) And be sure to make the most of the brand new bar on your next visit!
