ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of the Hounds team, you'll become a member of both the cast and the crew. The position comes in three main parts:

Performing:
You'll deliver 15–35 minute private performances as satirical caricatures in an immersive, interactive theatre setting. This includes wearing costumes, using props, and following a scripted storyline—with moments of improvisation, particularly in "street theatre" scenarios alongside other cast members. Performance roles vary in prominence across experiences, but all are equally important.

Operating:
The majority of your time will be spent behind the scenes. After each performance, you'll manage the technical and theatrical flow of the experience. Responsibilities include remotely monitoring guests, triggering cues and special effects, and interacting with guests in character—either through a microphone or brief in-person appearances. You’ll also be in charge of resetting the space, props, and tech components before new guests arrive.​

Upkeep:
Between showings you'll help maintain cleanliness across all areas of the venue—including the entrance, performance spaces, toilets, and backstage. You may also assist with light maintenance, setup, decorating tasks, and participate in promotional media or filming when needed.

- All applicants must be over 18 years old.

- Natural ability to learn and operate new technologies.

- Not afraid to put on a silly voice!
- Time keeping ability.
- Attention to detail.
- Committed and conscientious work ethic.
- Flexible availability.

DESIRABLE QUALITIES
- Any prior acting skills at all are beneficial.
- Customer service experience is beneficial.
- Any special skills or experience will be taken into consideration.
- An active interest for the immersive experience industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Close proximity/ability to travel, as work often becomes available at short notice.

- £13.68 invoicing rate per hour (£12.21 per hour during training)
